QSL produces historical simulations for research. It cannot predict the future, decide whether an investment is suitable for you or replace appropriately authorised professional advice.
Capital is at risk. You may lose some or all money invested and, with leverage or certain instruments, more than the initial amount. Past, hypothetical and simulated performance does not predict future results.
1. No advice or personalised signal
No ranking, strategy, chart, metric, text or export is financial, legal, tax or accounting advice, or a recommendation to buy, sell or hold an asset. QSL does not consider your finances, objectives, experience or local obligations.
2. Historical and hypothetical limitations
A backtest applies rules selected today to past data. It may benefit from hindsight, selection and later optimisation. Testing many candidates increases data-snooping, statistical coincidence and overfitting. Use out-of-sample, walk-forward and independent validation where possible.
3. Data and execution risk
Missing records, incorrect candles, time zones, corporate actions, symbol changes or provider errors can distort results. Simulations may omit spread, slippage, latency, market impact, rejected orders, financing, taxes, custody and currency conversion.
4. Market and strategy risk
Strategies can experience prolonged drawdowns, gaps, changing correlations and losses beyond their historical record. Shorts, leverage, derivatives, illiquid assets and cryptoassets introduce additional volatility, counterparty, custody, liquidation and regulatory risks.
5. Technology, jurisdiction and responsibility
Software defects, incomplete files, rounding, outages, API changes or differences in exported code can change signals. Rules, taxes and investor protections vary by country and asset.
You choose the data and parameters, interpret outputs and decide whether to trade. Review methodology and code, use independent controls and never risk money you cannot afford to lose.
