Built through use
The project grew out of hands-on software development and personal quantitative research.
The story behind QSL
Quant Strategy Lab began with a software developer and quantitative investor who wanted a better way to test his own ideas. A desktop tool built for personal use became the starting point for this platform.
Testing strategy ideas one by one meant spending too much time writing repetitive code and organising results. The first desktop version brought that work together: generate rule-based strategies, test them on historical data and compare the results in one place.
The project grew out of hands-on software development and personal quantitative research.
A ranking is a starting point. Rules, assumptions and limitations deserve attention too.
Keep the data and settings connected to each experiment so it can be revisited.
Test changes and compare their results before drawing conclusions.
The aim is to make systematic research more accessible while keeping you in control of the questions you ask and the conclusions you draw.
